Corporate Logo: E-Eight
Brief: Create a visual identity for a client who makes military-grade duffle bags.
Project goals: Create a logo that visually embodies company values while speaking to their potential consumer.
Solution: Combining the two letterforms required a considerable amount of focus on balance. While the "8" is dominant in the overall outline, the "E" holds the dominant color and space.
Shape: Rounded angles rather than curves help to make the outline more masculine while at the same time retaining an organic and human quality. Meanwhile the shape is still simple enough to retain it's integrity as an embroidered or printed stamp on the fabric of a bag.
Color: In this context, orange conveys utility and visibility. The vibrancy not only serves a memorable impression to the consumer but is also highly visible in a retail space.
